Interesting, Diane! I tried to access the site you provided, but it asked me for a user name and password.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post.  Is there an Osprey thread and has Diane already posted?  This nest is in Hilton Head and the first egg was laid last Saturday.  Is this the first Osprey egg in US Diane?  Veronica

Isn't this the nest where the opsrey brought in the blue teddy bear 2 years ago?  The osprey bring such interesting items for nesting materials.

This isn't the first osprey eggs for the US.  Cape Coral has been nesting for a while.  http://archive.capecoral.net/ospreycam/

No osprey threads yet!  But now that I think of it, I meant to start one for the King plant.  Ospreys should be spotted soon in Minnesota.  I keep checking around but I haven't seen one yet!  The Minnesota river has thawed so very soon...

I almost did yesterday when the goose was visiting, but just stuck it in the King peregrine thread as long as the ospreys weren't around yet.

The Finland Golden Eagle cam will be up daily soon.  Here's the latest pics from a visit of a beauty on the 13th.  We have a breeding pair near my home and I feel so privileged when I'm lucky enough to catch them soaring the thermals.  Although they are such a large bird, it's all about timing to locate them.  We spotted a first year Golden Eagle a few months ago around the territory which we suspect might be the offpsring from last year.  Hope it made it through the winter okay.  Denise  http://www.panoraama.com/live/maakotka/

Trying to find Ospreys in Finland, I came upon a Hooded Crow looking for tidbits.  Yesterday, this site was clear of snow.  Wonder if this is the same storm that hit Britain.  Denise

The Blackwater eaglets are getting a little bigger, and apparently the food supply was better today.

Here's a couple of interesting pics from the Finland Golden Eagle archive.  The last visit by an eagle was the one I posted from March 13 but doesn't that look like an egg?  Denise

Throughout this evening I kept checking Finland to see if I could see an Osprey but found these two instead.  Denise

Denise what's the link to the Finland osprey site?  Also, what do you click on to get to the cam?  I have a link that I'm not sure is current, and I haven't figured out how to ge to the cam.

Hi!  The Finland site is on that View Nesting Birds one at http://mysite.verizon.net/vdziadosz/ or you can get it direct at www.natureit.net and click on the Saaksi (Osprey).  When you get the cam open you can zoom in by clicking inside the frame.  Has anyone had a problem getting into the cam on the Eurasian Eagle-owl?  I can't get the cam page up and I would love to see those cool looking owlets darn it.   Undecided  Denise
