Pat, the nest box is located at the Pawnee Power Station in Brush, Colorado, which is in the northeast portion of the state.  I'm guessing the name Pawnee is because it's near the U.S. Pawnee National Grasslands http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/arnf/?

The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon, also sometimes known as a sparrow hawk.
