She hops up on to the Skywalk – better get off the runway at this suddenly busy eagleport! DM2 joins her at 1:04 and we get some spectacular close-ups beginning at 1:40.

November 17, 2020: Mr. North starts work on the foundation!
November 17, 2020: North Nestorations – https://youtu.be/xn-xCVlroQI. The North’s busied themselves with nestorations this morning! Look for stick tango at 2:33 (DNF cannot decide where the stick should go), and 4:01, close-ups of DNF at 4:45, a cool talon shot at 5:30, a grass fly-in at 6:47, close-ups of Mr. North at 7:50, and a crow followed by the remains of a deer at the end of the video.
November 14, 2020: Let the food chase begin! https://youtu.be/mJmlRxHIxns. The video opens with a nice view of the North nest while the sounds of a food fight echo in the background. Mr. North touches down at 1:31 but loses his fish to DNF at 1:35! He takes off in hot pursuit as the two circle round and back into the nest again. The two eventually perch on a favorite branch (check out the wear spots in the moss) for a stare-off. The chase resumes at 5:39, but Mr. North does not get his fish back from DNF!

We hear the neighborhood crow watch as Mr. North flies into the nest, vocalizing, and immediately assumes a defensive posture. We get some great close-ups starting at 1:31, although we still don’t know who is threatening to steal the fish. Mr. North starts eating his morning trout at 4:17.

The video opens with a shot of a handsome subadult eagle sitting on our solar pole. What are all those vocalizations in the background? An eagle has caught some feathery prey and a food fight ensues. There are so many eagle comings and goings that it’s hard to keep track of everyone! Look for a range of ages (but a lot of juveniles – a bigger percentage of the population in the fall), two basic sizes (female eagles are bigger than males), and a whole lot of attempts at stealing the prey! #MississippiFlyway
