Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! As we approach the end of 2020, all of us at the Raptor Resource Project want to thank you, our supporters. Even in a very difficult year, you were there for us and for the birds you love – sharing them with captures, videos, observations, and comments, caring for them in your backyards and neighborhoods, and supporting our mission to preserve and strengthen raptor populations, expand participation in raptor conservation, and educate people around the world about raptors and their habitats. You celebrated your favorite eagles and falcons, marveled at the birds of the Mississippi Flyway, and came together to share joy and mourn loss in the birds’ lives and in your own. You gave us the joy of community in a year of loss.

Join us for #GivingTuesday

We are inviting you to join us for #GivingTuesday, our year-end fundraiser, on Tuesday, December 1st. We’ll be chatting, celebrating, and having fun from 8 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 8 PM central on our website at https://www.raptorresource.org/birdcams/decorah-eagles/. Amy and John will be dropping in to say “Hi” and answer any questions you have about our technology, how we get to nests, what it takes to keep cameras running, or anything else you have on your mind!

Would you like to share some favorite memories or images from the Decorah Eagles, the Decorah North Eagles, the Great Spirit Bluff Falcons, or the Mississippi Flyway? We’ll be putting up an album for fan art! Send your image and a brief memory to [email protected], or message us on our Facebook page.

Thank you for caring about our birds and the places they call home. Thank you for making a difference online and in your own lives. Thank you for supporting our work and our mission. Thank you for sharing your art and your eagle and falcon stories. You have deepened our lives an immeasurable amount and for that we will always be thankful!

I wrote this Thanksgiving post back in 2016 and it remains one of my favorites: https://www.raptorresource.org/2019/11/27/a-reflection-and-a-thanksgiving-2/
