While one eaglet hatches, another one is gone. We’re sorry to announce that DH1 perished sometime last night. We don’t know why, but we do know that the weather was challenging and HD and HM are new parents, with a lot to learn about feeding and caring for eaglets. As one of our moderators said, ‘A lot of hope was riding on those little wings’. We’re sad about DH1’s loss but hopeful for better things to come for DH2.
