Please join us for our first egg fundraiser on Saturday, February 22!

It took a bunch of really passionate people to come together on behalf of raptors and it’s going to take even more to keep our work going! If you’d like to help us, please donate here: https://www.raptorresource.org/support-the-raptor-resource-project/make-a-donation/

Please join us for our first egg fundraiser on Saturday, February 22! With two eggs at Decorah North, more coming at Trempealeau and Fort St. Vrain, multiple eagle tracking projects, two banding stations in partnership with three colleges, an exciting research opportunity involving rehabbed and released birds, and peregrine survey season starting up, we have a lot of things going on, a lot to celebrate, and a lot of work to do! Join us for special chats and reminiscing at Decorah North. If Mrs. T lays her first egg by the 22nd, we’ll add a fundraising chat at Trempealeau too!

Decorah North
We’re chatting from 9am-11am and 5pm-8pm – https://www.raptorresource.org/birdcams/decorah-north-nest/

Trempealeau: TBA
We don’t yet have a time for this chat, but we’ll post if and when we do!

Tonight’s video features Mr. North taking his turn on the eggs and gives us a very nice view of them! While DNF calls for him, she doesn’t seem especially excited to get out of her cozy warm nest. See the husks around her? It’s very common for the eagles to pile on extra rings of material in cold, windy weather. Like a doorstop, it helps keep a chilly draft from sneaking through.
