D27 sent us an airmail! As Brett said, she in engaged in typical meandering around her natal area. Her farthest point north this month was up near Bluffton: less than a mile from Bob’s old farm/breeding project and nine miles distant from her natal nest. Her farthest point south was down near Eldorado, 13 miles distant from her natal nest. D27 spent most of her time in and around Decorah and passed near the nest three times: once on January 3, once on January 16, and once on January 18. Unfortunately, she didn’t get quite close enough for us to see her on cam, although we are hoping to go out looking for her sometime in February. Good luck D27! Stay warm and don’t forget to write!
